Description

Gelato, or the plural Gelati, is Italian ice cream in it's finest form. Compared with regular and even premium ice cream, gelato has less than 55% air within the mixture, resulting in a denser and more flavourful product unlike any ice cream. The sugar content in gelato is precisely balanced with the water content to act as an anti-freeze to prevent the gelato from freezing solid.

O'Divino's Gelato is home-made and mixed on a Frost-Top machine with a marble counter that clocks in at -18 degrees celsius. The history of gelato dates back to frozen desserts served in ancient Rome and Egypt made from ice and snow brought down from mountaintops and preserved below ground. Later, gelato appeared during banquets at the Medici court in Florence.

O'Divino means Oh Heavenly! And that's exactly how we felt when we had our first bite!
